1oak nyc closed until Jan. 17
I received an email yesterday from 1oak saying that they will be closed for the next 2 weeks. They will reopen on Jan. 17 with a “new look,” including new lights and sound system. I wonder how much they will change the appearance of the club—personally, I wouldn’t change anything, but I’ll post photos if they change a lot when they reopen. I don’t appreciate that they are going to be closed for my birthday (they obviously should have checked with me before making this decision!), but until then, they recommend visiting Darby Downstairs, which is smaller but you can expect a similar crowd and the same DJs.
